Thumb sucker...
Yes, Gracie is sucking her thumb... what to do, what to do. She has only done it a few times, but I have feeling it is going to be happening more and more. Apart of me does not want her to suck her thumb because it was a hard habit for me to break when I was a kid. But at the same time it is nice for her to find her thumb so she can calm herself versus crying for her pacifier. It is sort of cute!

Snug as a bug in a rug...
Gracie slept 9 hours last night (10PM - 7AM)!!! I still can't quite believe it. She pretty consistently sleeps 7 hours and every once in a while will give me an extra hour or two. The only problem is that of course I wake up... mainly because I'm nursing and I feel like if I don't feed her I'm going to explode! REALLY! I've been fighting if off by pumping a bit to releave the pain.
As you will notice in the picture, Gracie loves to be swaddled! In fact I keep wondering when she won't want to be swaddled anymore... especially as it is getting warmer. The pediatrician said that some babies like to be swaddled for months and if I have to just strip her down to her diaper. I think I will just turn the air up if I have to. I have tried a few times during her naps not to swaddle her, but then 10 minutes later she is awake. The only way she will sleep while not swaddled is if she is on her tummy, but with SIDS they say sleeping on the back reduces the risk greatly. So I guess I will keep swaddling her until she lets me know she doesn't like it anymore. Plus she just looks so cute and cozy!

Good website...
Great mom site: www.mom4life.com
It has great products for moms and their kiddos. I have found several of the nursing items helpful. I don't know if you have ever heard of Lily Padz... they are great for any nursing mom! I just wish I would have found them sooner. I also ordered the Hooter Hider (great name huh!) Spread the news to any moms you may know.

My new job...
Okay so all my friends have a cool blog so I decided it would be fun to create one of my own and this way people can check in from time to time or daily and see what is happening in the life of Lisa! (And of course Gracie since I'm now a stay at home mom!)
I decided this first blog would of course have to be about Gracie and my new job. I love staying at home. At first I was a little nervous and kept thinking what am I going to do ALL day, but as the last 10 weeks have flown by I realized that I couldn't ask for a better job. I get to see every smile, every spit up, every new discovery and somedays I even get a nap!
Here is a fun picture of Gracie taken just the other day. I think she is laughing at me. Or maybe it is just one of her 10,000 expressions! :)
