It's official

I'm going back to work!

Yes, you read that right. I start on Tuesday back at the bank in Human Resources (where I use to work before Grace, but I will be doing something different). I'm only going to be working 20 hours a week and for now the job is just temporary. I've been thinking about working again for months really and just had not be decided 100% either way. To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure. I had talked with my old boss last week telling her that I would love to work part-time. So Tuesday of this week, she called and said she had something for me. Since the job is just temporary, I figured this would be a good trial run to see how Grace and I like it. Grace will be going to a local daycare. It's a little older, but really clean and the people that work there seem so sweet. Plus I got some great recommendations and its only 1/2 mile from where I will be working. So wish me luck. I will update how my first day back goes and how Grace does sometime next week.

The first day is the hardest, but Grace will learn SO much! Katey comes home with something new EVERY day now! If you need to talk or have any questions, please call! It will be an adjustment, but once the transition is complete you will love it!

Back to work! That's a challenge you can accomplish...I'm positive!Your friend is right, day one is the hardest, but by making sure Gracie has something that smells like you the transition MIGHT be easier on her. You are a smart woman Mrs Dugan. You will make the right choices for you and your family. Good Luck.
Love Barb.

Lisa, that's great! Good for you, for making the big step since you've been thinking about it. I often "dream" about getting away, too! ;-) I hope daycare goes well and Grace likes it a lot. I'm sure it might be hard at first, but just think...it's only part time, and then you'll really appreciate your special time with Grace when you're not working. Good Luck and definitely let us know how it goes.
