Here comes Lisa Dugan!
My parents gave me a new sewing machine for Christmas (which I had been wanting). Anyway, I LOVE it. I just had to hem to pair of jeans, but since it was the first time I had used I had to read the manual. Sooooooo, 3 hours later I have 2 jeans that are hemed. YEA! So maybe not exactly Martha Stewart, but maybe her long lost daughter. :)
I'm just so excited. I have so many projects to do and a couple gifts that I have needed a sewing machine to get it done. Now I can! Thanks mom and dad! love you.

I always feel so proud when I make something with my sewing machine. I'm no Martha either, but I can make simple things. One of the cheeziest things that I've even made was for Valentine's Day a few years ago. I went and got some pink leopard material and made the girls(This was before Jude) all their own pillow case. They still to this day LOVE those pillow cases. And all I sewed was a straight line.

Wow! I'm impressed! I've always wanted to learn to sew, and with my kiddo's short, little legs, I think I'm going to need to hem lots of pants! :)
I hope you do better that I did. I was so wanting to learn to sew and make all of my own window treatments so my MIL bought me a machine and I think I've used it maybe 5 times. I have alot of hobbies, sewing turned out not to be one of them.
