Well I guess I should say that she has taken a few steps. She will take 3-4 steps and then go down to her knees or start crawling, then get back up and take another couple steps. She is so proud of herself. We will try to get it on tape and post it soon. Just wanted to tell everyone!

Congratulations on Grace walking! That is so exciting. People told me when my son Cameron started walking that life will never be the same - so true!!!
I just read your post before this one and I totally understand about your decision on staying at home. I felt the same way about putting the kids in day care - I knew they would be sick all the time and I was worried constantly. So I decided to say home as well.
YEA Grace! It took Carson a good 6 weeks (2 months if you count learning to walk in SHOES!!!) to really get it down, but some people say once they take their first steps, they're off within a week! The most fun part is seeing them so proud of themselves, huh?! Carson was very happy about life after he started, too.
hi, just passing through and read some of your posts. Just wait till she is running!! You will wonder why you were so anxious to have her walking!! :-)
YAYAYAYAY! Congrats to Grace.
Way to go Grace!! Lisa- enjoy and savor every minute of that!! IT is great fun, and wonderful memories!!
Hey girlie! Long time no talk/see! I can't believe how big grace is getting. Before you know it she will be driving around town looking for something to do. Miss yall...gimme a call next time you swing into town.

Hi Lisa - sorry for the late response to your question on my blog re: breastfeeding!! YES - it hurts when you stop, too!!!! What I did, was slowly cut back on the nursing sessions ... I eliminated the evening feed at first - had a bit of discomfort with fullness - but then, would nurse first thing in the morning. After a week or so of that - I started nursing every other day. And just gradually, stopped. If it was painful (only happened once, maybe twice), I might put them on for a few minutes just to relieve the pressure. For at LEAST 8-months following nursing, I was able to "squirt" milk (this always amazed me) - so it was definitely there, just not in the volume that it had been.
Congrats on Grace's first steps - your life is about to change (again) considerably!!! :)
This morning when I dropped Molly off at Daycare Grace was walking around that little white room thing in Deb's class. Some boy came and pushed her out of the way cause she was in front of the door and he wanted in. She just plopped down and looked at him like - "um - EXCUSE ME - I was going to open that door!"
Check out our some of our zoo pictures that Mary took.
