She sews!

One of my sweet new neighbors, Jenny, made a super cute smocket for her daughter. And I just had to have one for my girls! She was so very kind to come over and teach me how to make them. I'm hooked! She just came over Friday and I've already finished another set (still to take pictures of). Anyway, if you sew or not really (like me... I can hem or simple stuff) you should try it. It does take a while ... took me about 2 hours per smocket.
Anyway, here are the girls! Maybe I should make all their clothes. Or not. :) Thanks so much Jenny! I really enjoyed hanging out!
Front view (they are reversible too... so I did the opposites for the girls)Back view (Aren't they cute!)

Oh and its called a smocket because its a smock (an old fashion apron) with a pocket... aka smocket!

Wow, aren't you just the next Martha Stewart!!

I wish I knew how to do more stuff. I used to try and learn all the time and then my sewing machine got all tangled and I haven't done anything since...that was two years ago :(

Cute! But before I do this, I need to learn how to sew a button on. ;)

The girls are precious.....good job, Mommy!
So......ummmm, I have this cute little jacket that I want to wear again but the button fell off.....do you think I could swing by and you could sew it back on......I'm really helpless when it comes to needles and thread....seriously. I'm not even joking.

Those are adorable! Good thing I'll never need to learn how to make any smockets.
