bitter sweet

This past weekend we made a quick trip down to Austin.
My sister-in-law, Christee, starts Chemo this week and we wanted to hang out with her before things got started.
We did find out that it is Stage IIIC - which is MUCH better than Stage IV, but we still need lots of prayer!! Also, since she is going loose her hair very quickly she decided she would rather have a celebration and shave her head vs. it coming out in clumps one day too soon. So we had a party!! It was super fun and great to meet all their friends. She has an awesome support system down in Austin and thankfully Adam's other brother lives there too! We wished we were closer, but we are planning to make trips down there more often. Here are a few shots of the fun.

Looks like you all had a nice time. I will continue to pray for your family. Glad it is IIIC instead of 4.
And WOW Adam and his brothers look SO much alike. Crazy!

Wow!! She has a perfectly round and gorgeous bald head! I'll be thinking of her and the rest of the Dugan crew often.

Hey Girl! I've been a little behind in blogland lately, but what's new. I am so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. We will definitely be praying for her! It's good that they caught it at stage III. Blessings!

Bless her heart. I've also seen two close family members lose their hair because of chemo. The last time my g'ma did chemo she asked my great aunt to cut her hair... I don't think there was a party though! :) Your SIL looks like she is such a fighter and go-getter! :) Praying often for her and your family!
