cravings...

I should start by saying I really haven't had any true cravings. I really have had more food aversions than anything... can't really eat chicken or really any plain meat for that matter which is odd for me b/c I am normally a big meat eater.

But back to the cravings... the last few days I've been dying for an everything bagel from any type of bagel place. Seeing how I live in rural Oklahoma with NO bagels places in my town, I convinced Adam to drive me 30 minutes away to go to Panera Bread to buy me a dozen everything bagels. I was so excited! However, little did I know that once Panera Bread runs out of bagels for the day that is it... they make no more until the next day! So when I got to Panera Bread and ran in I learned this and I also learned that they only had ONE everything bagel left... so I bought the one everything bagel and I already ate it this morning. So now all I think about is what I am going to have for breakfast in the morning. I would totally drive the 30 minutes in the morning if I didn't have to work.

The thing that is more funny about this is up until 1 week ago I didn't even know I liked everything bagels... I always bought a plain bagel... maybe its the onion or garlic, but yummmmmm I just can't get it out of my mind. So the next chance I have I am on my way to Panera Bread to get me some everything bagels.

Enough of my ramblings... did anyone else have weird cravings like this? With Grace I really didn't crave much... sometimes candy (which I crave with this one too) and salty foods, but that was about it. How about you?

I had an Everything Bagel this morning from Panera Bread too!! Luckily for me, we have a Panera Bread 6 miles away, either side of us.

Tomorrow is my Husband and I's 3rd anniversary so I convinced him the 3rd Anniversary is the Bagel anniversary...he didn't believe me but he and Cody went and got some Bagels anyway!

I never had cravings with any of my boys either. The only thing is, I never really like fast food, but when I was pregnant with both of them, fast food sounded good....that's why I put on so much weight!

With Bubbie I craved Charlie Brown Ice Cream (chocolate with peanut swirls). Awesome!!! With Grayson I crave deli sandwiches (I've had 3 in one week before) and fruit. Odd! I know! If someone has fruit, I'm there.... I hate for you that you have to drive 30 mins to a Panera. I have one 3 mins away! I wish I could ship them to you!!! :)

Thanks for all your encouragement on breastfeeding. I am definitely reading up. I've got 3 breastfeeding books that I'm going through right now. I also plan on joining LLL once I quit, but wanna wait til about a month or two before I join.... I also signed up for a Breastfeeding class at the hospital. That way I can meet with their breastfeeding lady before I need her. One of the biggest, I guess, things I am worried about it people visiting, etc... Hubbie's family is HUGE. I want to be able to focus on trying to b.f. so we've gotta make some really LOUD stands against people visiting all day, every day, etc.... I need to be able to pull them out whenever and not have to worry about how many people are waiting to come back in, etc... Anyway... The Mothers Companion or something like that has been really good. Lots of great advice. Really breaks the problems up by months, weeks, but like you said, if it doesn't work, formula didn't kill Bubbie. He is and has been a healthy boy so God blessed us! Thanks again! Oh! And how far away are you from Oklahoma City? Hubbie is looking at a job there and I thought wow! I'd know one person SEMI close! :)

You're so funny, Lisa! Isn't it crazy how you can totally crave something you haven't even had before??

I craved Chinese food, which I don't really like and anything with lemons. Lemonade, lemon pie, lemon cake, etc.

I've never had that bagel before. I like my bagels sweet though.
With Noah I craved grape koolaid and ding dongs. With Reagan I craved jars of pickles and olives my first trimester, and the 2nd and 3rd I craved Warm chocolate chip cookies. And they had to be warm. So I went thru cookie dough like crazy.
Can't wait to see you Saturday!

The sight of chinese food made me so very sick. I craved water, ALL the time. The funny thing was that I never drank water until I got pregnant

yum! That sounds SO good! With Colin I had major poultry aversions. I couldn't even think about it. I was newly pregnant at Thanksgiving, too, which sucked. I didn't know for SURE if my sweets cravings were from pregnancy, but I do now! The cravings are basically gone. Every night when I was pregnant I had to eat cookies or ice cream or brownies...sometimes all of it! Glad that's out of my system now. I can't wait to find out what you're having!
