changes

Funny how things can change so quickly. Like your kids growing before your very eyes or changeing your mind when to have a surgery...

When I cancelled my surgery last week I thought for sure I could wait a good month or maybe even longer. Well that didn't happen. I'm now scheduled to have my gallbladder out this coming Thursday.

Of course I felt pretty good when I cancelled it. But the last couple days haven't been fun. New things are starting to bother me like orange juice and apparently turkey sandwiches with sprouts on them.

So I will let you know how it goes.

And as for Emma, I guess she will eat if she gets hungry enough. My surgeon said that I would only have to pump once after the surgery to get the rest of the medicine out of my body then I can nurse her. So I figure I will only miss 2 feedings (hopefully). Plus my mom will have her and she is so far the only one that has been able to give her a bottle (even if it was forever ago!).

ps... I'm not backing out this time. (I think I just had to tell myself that!)

I understand completely what you are going through. Just know that little Emma WILL eat when she's good and hungry. It killed me when I found out Grayson was going to have to supplement with formula at 6 weeks b/c of my stupid gall bladder....I just didn't have enough milk pumped when I went in to the ER. She will be in very good hands....I know surgery is scary but I promise you it's a piece of cake! Call me if you need to talk....I will be praying for you!

I am so glad you are going to go through with it!! I am sure you will feel so much better after the whole process is over with. And as far as Emma goes, she will be in great hands and just like kenz not taking a bottle very well, they have to give in if they get hungry enough... they are just really stubborn babies!! let me know if you need anything, i live really close to you :)

I had emergency gall bladder surgery right after my c section with Reagan. The recovery really wasn't that bad. My body felt a little weird, but much better since I could eat normal again and not be in agonizing pain. Hope it goes well today.
