All these toys and she likes the dvd player most!

Here is the latest video of Grace learning a new skill...

What do I do now? I guess I could move the dvd player? I just hate to do that. How do you teach an 11 month old baby not to do that. At this age she thinks the word "No" is funny. I'm just at a loss. So all you mamas out there with a child that has the same skill as mine... HELP... what do I do??

No is always hard to teach. Just be consistent. She is pretty cute doing it though. AND for an 11 month old, that is the most fun toy. Ya know?

This stage is SO difficult!! My first son easily learned what was good and bad. My second son is a completely different story. I agree with Nicole -- BEING CONSISTENT is so important!!

Thanks for stopping by. :)

Lisa, her fine motor skills are at LARGE! that is an awesome skill for an 11 month old! I dont know thta kate could figure that out! WAY TO GO, GRACE! sometimes you have to celebrate more than criticize! you could buy another player for $50 while her learning that button is priceless! at least when you and adam have amovie night, she can be the VJ!

Hey, I just moved mine out of the way where the kiddos can't reach it. Of course Noah can reach it if he climbs on the furniture, but he learned not too. Right now at Grace's and Reagan's age, they don't know what they are doing is wrong. They are just glad it's getting your attention. She won't really understand til about 18 months old. It's hard, but remember it's a game to her. Good luck.

I obviously don't have any advice because I'm just a rookie mom, but I would like to say that I think it is totally adorable! How DO you teach them at all those buttons on their toys are fine to push, but certain ones are not okay?! I think a baby DVD player toy could be a big seller!

This is Carson's favorite thing to do, too. He has been obsessed since we moved and our tv and all that are on his level. His favorite now it turning the tv off and on. It drives us crazy. All we can do it say NO in a firm voice and pull them away, and give them something else to do! It really doesn't work THAT well for us either because Carson thinks it's funny when we say no! Scott can tell him no and he listens 75% of the time. Me, on the other hand, he smiles or laughs every single time. Good Luck! I'm annoyed that we bought a tv stand that is so low to the floor.
