motivation

So this morning I was reading a girl's blog that I've followed for forever... probably since I started blogging 2 years ago. Her name is Jen at amazing trips... http://amazingtrips.blogspot.com/. She has triplets that are 3 and a one year old little boy. She also works from home and found time to train for a triathlon. WOW!

How lazy am I!?!

So she has turned the tables on her readers and challenged us. So in an attempt to get a little more toned and maybe lose a few pounds I decided to challenge myself.

Adam and I have been talking about doing a 5K run for a while and since the weather FINALLY turned beautiful what a better time.

Now just to find a 5K run... I was thinking maybe sometime in November. So if you want to join me in this challenge let me know. That way I can encourage you too!

Too funny! The time has come for us as well!

Matt, Liz, and Madeline, have a 5k run for the loss of his wife when their daughter was born. You can read more about it on my page.

My motivation...OSB!!!

I'm running in the race for the cure next month. I bet they have it in Dallas too. Only thing is... it's only for women so Adam would have to just cheer you on. O co-worker and I are running a half marathon too. I think it's in january.

I would love to somehow get motivated and do something active!! I need to get in shape :) There are a couple of people at my church that do runs, i should ask them where they do them. I know that most of them are around here, mckinney and plano area....

A lot of towns (and homeless shelters) put on "Turkey Trots" which are held on Thanksgiving morning. We've done a similar race for the past several years and really enjoy getting out in the morning before we GORGE on food all day.

You can do it!! :)

Alright, i should really just email you instead of leave comments on every post. I am doing the Race for the Cure Dallas in honor of my aunt in October -- boys can run in this one. The Turkey Trot is, obviously, in November, and the White Rock Half Marathon is at the end of the year. Luckily there is at least one 5K every month until May-ish. The store Run On has great group runs for all levels of runners or they can just set you up with a really good training schedule.
